About this policy
This policy applies to Zero World for iOS, Android, and web, provided by Oleg Filimonov. It explains what information the app uses, why it is used, and how you can manage it.
Your map and account
Zero World stores the countries and cities you choose to mark as visited. Without an account, visits stay in local app or browser storage. Creating an account is optional. When you sign in, your visits are stored on our servers to sync your map across devices.
Account information may include your name, email address, profile image, sign-in provider identifiers, and authentication records. If you choose a phone-based sign-in method where available, it also includes your phone number. We use these details to authenticate you, secure your account, and provide account recovery. We do not request your GPS location or automatically track your travel.
Sharing and support
Sharing generates a map image on your device. You choose whether to save it or send it to another app or person. The destination handles the image under its own privacy policy. Your map is not automatically published to a public feed.
If you contact support or send feedback, we receive the information you include and use it to respond. Account and security messages may be sent by email. If you allow notifications, the app and our delivery providers may process a device push token; you can turn notifications off in your device settings.
Usage data, diagnostics, and cookies
Our hosting, security, analytics, and error-reporting services may process IP addresses, device and operating-system details, app versions, request times, pages visited, usage events, and crash or error details. This helps us operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Zero World.
The website uses session cookies and local storage for sign-in and preferences. Google Analytics for Firebase may use cookies or identifiers for website analytics; Vercel provides website usage and performance measurements, and Sentry handles error reports when enabled. Browser privacy controls can restrict cookies, but blocking essential storage may affect sign-in or local map storage.
How information is used and shared
We use information to provide map storage and sync, maintain accounts, answer support requests, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell personal information or use your visits for targeted advertising.
Service providers process information needed for hosting, database storage, authentication, transactional email, notifications, analytics, and diagnostics. These may include Vercel, Neon, Upstash, Resend, Google, Apple, Expo, and Sentry, depending on the platform and features used. Providers may receive personal information needed to perform these functions; transfers are not limited to anonymous statistics. We may also disclose information when required by law or to address fraud, abuse, or security threats.
International processing
Our service providers may process information outside your country of residence. Their locations and transfer safeguards depend on the provider and service. Where applicable, international transfers must follow the safeguards required by data-protection law.
Retention and deletion
Local visits remain until you remove them or clear the app or browser data. Synced visits and account details are retained while your account is active unless you remove them. Uninstalling the app alone does not delete a cloud account.
You can remove visits in the app and delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete account. You can also request deletion at themraction@gmail.com. We may verify that a request concerns your own account. Security logs, backups, and information required by law may remain for their applicable retention periods.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information, restrict or object to processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. California residents may also have applicable rights concerning sale or sharing and non-discrimination. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Contact themraction@gmail.com to exercise your rights or ask about processing. You may also contact your local data-protection authority. We will handle requests within the timeframes required by applicable law. Stopping use of the website or uninstalling the app stops new usage from that installation but does not delete information already stored.
Children
Zero World is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If local law requires a higher age or parental consent, those requirements apply. If you believe a child has provided personal information without the required consent, contact themraction@gmail.com so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
Security
We use safeguards intended to protect personal information, but no system is completely secure. Keep your device and sign-in credentials secure. If a data breach requires notification under applicable law, we will provide that notification.
Policy changes
We may update this policy as Zero World or its service providers change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be described on this page, with additional notice or consent where required by law.
